The UMGSA offers awards to students and teachers alike who excel in their field and participate and engage with their community. We also provide grants for students to travel to conferences and to departments that participate in the council. UMGSA Student Award

Each year the Graduate Students’ Association confers peer-to-peer recognition of fellow graduate students who are currently not recognized by the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship, or other national awards. For more information on this award click here

UMGSA Teaching Award

The purpose of the UMGSA Teaching Award is to recognize those individuals who have made, in the estimate of their graduate students, a significant contribution to their teaching profession. For more information on this award click here

Conference Grant

Conference grants are available for graduate students attending or presenting at conferences. For more information on this grant click here

Department Grant

These grants are available to departmental graduate student associations who are represented on a UMGSA Council (Fort Garry and Bannatyne). For more information on this grant click here
