Holiday Hamper Program
Applications for the University of Manitoba Graduate Students’ Association (UMGSA) Holiday Hamper program are now closed. Thank you to all our applicants – we’re in the process of reviewing your applications and will get back to you soon.
This program is based on financial need, and provides holiday hampers to deserving graduate students in our University of Manitoba community who are experiencing financial stress and do not have stable source(s) of funding (i.e. do not hold any internal or external research grants or awards, and are not receiving any financial support from their advisor or department).
If you are eligible and wish to receive a hamper, please submit:
(1) a completed application form
(2) a letter of support from your research advisor or department or FGS or any other documents that is the valid proof of financial need indicating (i) financial need and (ii) absence of funding in the graduate program.
Applications can be submitted electronically to email@example.com or on paper to the UMGSA Office (221 University Centre). The application deadline is December 8th, 2017 at 3:30pm. Late application will not be considered.
Once your application has been processed you will be contacted by e-mail, and hampers will be available for pick-up on December 18th-20th, 2017 from 9:00am – 3:00pm (make sure to bring your student ID!). Unfortunately, the UMGSA cannot store the hampers over the holidays as the office will be closed, so if a hamper is not picked up by December 20th it will be donated to the campus food bank.
